Summit 2024 Review: Visibility for international female founders and entrepreneurs
Summit for international entrepreneurs
October 2, 2024 – the big day finally arrived! Over 200 female entrepreneurs, founders and partners came together at the Embassy of Mexico in Berlin to experience a day full of inspiration, valuable insights and real connections. This year's SIE gründet Summit for international female entrepreneurs was all about visibility, a goal achieved in an impressive way.
A day full of motivating ideas, moderated by Anja Vatter.
We are particularly proud of the top-class speakers who made a deep impression on us with their stories and experiences. Thanks to Matthias Henze, co-founder of JIMDO, who inspired us with his keynote lecture on the topic of Entrepreneurial Muscle. His honest insights and practical tips inspired many of us.
Another highlight was the presentation by Anne-Chrystelle Bätz, President of Emploi Allemagne e.V., who spoke about the power of networking.
We also gave female founders and entrepreneurs a stage in various panels. In the first panel “Women entrepreneurs talk”, 5 women from 5 sectors and 4 continents spoke about their success stories.
Panelists:
Soraya Rosadha - Founder of Aiku Technologies GmbH – Asia
Lava Mouslam - Founder of Lava Art Café – Asia
Paola Varela - Founder of Holiroots GmbH – America
Sissih Hofmann-Mua - Founder of FroGoodies GmbH – Africa
Lela Grießbach - Founder of Lela Grießbach- intercultural start-up consultancy - Europe
The second panel “Visibility in Social Entrepreneurship: Women Shaping the Future” brought together female founders from the field of social entrepreneurship. This panel was moderated by Netsai Ndaza from Phineo Startups.
Panelists:
Lu Yen Roloff - founder of Plan B 2030 e.V.
Eden Tadesse - Founder of Invicta
Meri Khazaradze - Founder of mexb.ai
Networking at eye level
The summit was not only a platform for exciting presentations, but above all for genuine interaction. During the breaks, participants took the opportunity to exchange ideas, expand their networks and make new, valuable contacts. The “search and find board” was also actively used to make new contacts. Many reported that the open and appreciative atmosphere encouraged them to make themselves even more visible and share their stories.
“It was an honor! Rarely have I gone home so inspired after an event. So much drive, commitment and cohesion! The start-up scene is becoming female and international. Dach gives us hope.” (Matthias Henze, co-founder of JIMDO).
A common goal: More visibility for international women in the start-up scene
With over 200 female participants, the summit was a complete success. Every woman who took part in the day went home with new ideas, increased self-confidence and a clear vision. Together, we showed how important it is for women to raise their voices and become visible – whether on stage or in their own business.
Thank you to everyone who was there! 💙 We are infinitely grateful to each and every one of you who made Summit 2024 such a success. We were deeply impressed by your commitment, your openness and your willingness to make yourselves visible.
